About us

A Shop for Quiz is run by ashopforquiz, based in the United Kingdom. We launched the site in September 2026.

Learning sticks better when it is fun. A quick quiz turns a spare few minutes into something you remember, and playing with other people turns it into a game night.

We wanted one place where you can do both: test yourself alone, or bring friends, family or a class together and play on the same clock, with nothing to install and no account to create.

Play solo. Choose from 43 topics in 19 categories, from flags and famous landmarks to science, history and sport. Pick the difficulty, the number of questions and the time per question.

Play together. Create a room, share the code or link, and up to 20 players answer the same questions at the same time, with a live leaderboard. Hosting an event? Schedule the quiz for later and share one invitation.

Bring your own topic. Type almost any subject and we will build a quiz around it.

Every answer comes with a short explanation, so you learn something whether you get it right or not.

Questions are written with the help of AI and then checked by our software for common problems, such as duplicate choices, answers that contradict their explanations, and questions you have already seen recently. Photographs come from Wikimedia Commons, are reviewed before use and credited beside each image.

These checks catch a lot, but they are not a person checking every fact, so mistakes can slip through. If you spot one, use Report question when the answer appears, or contact us.

Every quiz is free to play and you never need an email address or password. Our privacy policy explains what little data the site uses and why, and the FAQ answers common questions about playing and hosting.

We would love to hear from you, whether it is a question, an idea for a topic or a problem to fix. Visit our contact page or email ashopforquiz@gmail.com.
